Full face helmets come in an amazing range of WOW designs and colours, whether you want patriotic US colours
and show the flag or deep and dark goth to ride with your gang. They offer a pretty girly pink and flowery or a glorious rainbow of colour to zoom around on your scooter with your friends on a trip to the beach. They will have the one for you.

The most popular models can be converted for the most severe winter weather with snow conversion kits, which are essential for ultimate optical clarity. The kits consist of:

* a dual lens shield, even one with optional electric defrosting (just like in your car)
* a breath guard
* and all the necessary mounting hardware

All kits come with a handy cloth carrying bag or an optional carrying case as do all of the AFX helmets.

For the scooter or the more sedate rider, there is the half face helmet for which there is an optional sun shield system. One touch lowers a built in smoke tinted face shield, ideal for those sunny summer days.

Dual sport models include a screw on visor with goggle strap holders for those muddy tracks.

Fitting Your AFX Helmet

Fitting is an essential and important part of buying your AFX helmet. Don’t forget, it is to keep you as safe as possible!! There are 8 sizes of AFX adult helmets and 3 sizes for youths. To find your size you need to measure around your head with a flexible tape measure. Generally just above your eyes and ears is the best place but as all heads are different shapes you need to find the largest part of your head, might be a bit lower or a bit higher but your AFX helmet needs to be comfy and snug. The lining in your AFX helmet are designed to ‘mold’ to your head shape so should be snug to start with. If you are not sure always ask the assistant in the shop for help, remember it can’t be exchanged once you have used it, it’s adapted to your head!!

Buying an AFX helmet for your child can be worrying but don’t despair, AFX supply special youth cheek pads and linings which can be changed as your child or youth grows and so his AFX helmet can grow with him or her, a great saving on needing to buy a new helmet every couple of years.

All AFX helmets are made with a lightweight material and in an aerodynamic design with ears pace for speakers
and plenty of ventilation points, 11 in all. The lining and cheek pads are also lightweight and removable for washing, very handy in hot humid weather.
